I have here a small
list (in no real order) of Celtic Sites. Of the hundreds on
the 'net, I have selected a few (for now) that I feel offer
a good idea of what's available. They in turn, have links to
many more. I will add to this page as time permits, but if you
know of any sites that you feel may be useful, please let
me know.
Cruinneachadh
na nGaidheal (The Gathering of the Gaels) - A Gaelic historical
reenactment group working at Renaissance Faires, Celtic Festival
and Highland Games. We specialize in Ireland and the Scottish
Highlands of the 15th and 16th centuries. There is a lot of
cool information about costumes and language here.
Cooley-Keegan
Branch (San Francisco) of Comhaltas
Ceoltoiri Eireann
An
Saol Éireannach / The Irish World - Paul Carr's Irish
Information web site, it also covers events throughout the US
and Ireland. Very well done! It's one of the best Irish
cultural sites that I have seen, and it is bilingual as well!
Focal
an Lae - A nice Gaelic Language information site.
Gaelic
Dictionaries Online - And another Gaelic Language site.
An
tInneal Mallachtaí - Curse Engine - generate curses
in Gaelic.
Example:
English: May the malevolent hedgehogs satirize
your manly part.
Irish: Go n-aora na gráinneoga
cealgrúnacha do bhall fearga.
Phonetic: guh NEE-ruh nuh GRAWN-yoh-guh
KYA-luhg-roo-nuh-khuh duh WAHL FA-ruh-guh.
Irish
Photo Shop - Photo of Ireland - Cool stuff.
Walsh
Brothers - Celtic Art, Pewter, Jelelry - Lot's of links.
